Getting There

• Car

Continue on Route 23, then take the exit for Warwick Turnpike (County Route 515). Follow Warwick Turnpike for approximately 6 miles. Wawayanda State Park will be on your left at 885 Warwick Turnpike, Hewitt, NJ 07421. Parking is available within the park, and there is no entrance fee.

• Public Transportation

  If you are using public transportation, take a NJ Transit train to the Warwick station or a bus to the nearby town of Hewitt. From the Warwick station, you will need to use a rideshare service or taxi to reach the park, as public transport does not directly service Wawayanda State Park. The approximate distance from the Warwick station to the park is about 6 miles. Expect to pay for the train/bus fare, which varies depending on your departure point.

• Bicycle

  For those who prefer cycling, you can ride from nearby towns such as Warwick, NY. The ride to Wawayanda State Park is approximately 6 miles and mostly along Warwick Turnpike. • Walking/Hiking

  If you are already on the Appalachian Trail and are looking to reach Wawayanda State Park, you can hike the trail towards the park.
