Car
If you're traveling by car, start by navigating to the Worthington State Forest located at 2 Old Mine Rd, Columbia, NJ 07832. If you are on the Appalachian Trail, find the nearest road access point leading to Route 80. From Route 80, take exit 34B for Route 94 North. Continue on Route 94 North for approximately 6 miles until you reach Old Mine Rd. Turn left onto Old Mine Rd. After about 1 mile, you will see signs for Worthington State Forest on your right. There is a parking area at the entrance, where you can park your vehicle. Be mindful of any parking fees which may apply.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a NJ Transit train to the nearest station, which is the Delaware Water Gap station. From there, you can catch the 408 bus towards Columbia or the 407 bus towards Stroudsburg and disembark at the stop nearest to Old Mine Rd. Please check the NJ Transit website for the latest bus schedules as services may vary. It's approximately a 1-mile walk from the bus stop to the entrance of Worthington State Forest. Make sure to account for any bus fares, which typically range from $1.50 to $3.00, depending on your route.
