    Getting There

    Walking

    Start at the Asbury Park Train Station. Exit the station and head west on Mattison Avenue toward the intersection with Main Street. Turn right onto Main Street and continue walking north until you reach the intersection with Lake Avenue. From there, turn left onto Lake Avenue and continue until you arrive at the beach. Walk along the boardwalk heading north until you reach the intersection with 5th Avenue. Turn right onto 5th Avenue and walk east until you reach the intersection with Ocean Avenue. Now turn left onto Ocean Avenue, which will take you directly to the Asbury Park Boardwalk area. From the boardwalk, head north toward the Casino building, and you will find the entrance to the gardens nearby.

    Bicycle

    Begin at the Asbury Park Train Station. Rent a bicycle from a nearby bike rental shop. Head west on Mattison Avenue, then turn right onto Main Street heading north. Continue until you reach Lake Avenue. Turn left on Lake Avenue and ride towards the beach. Once at the beach, follow the boardwalk heading north. After the Casino building, look for the entrance to the gardens at the intersection with 5th Avenue. The bike path along the boardwalk is scenic and well-maintained.

    Public Transit

    If you're starting from the Asbury Park Train Station, you can take the NJ Transit bus service. Look for the bus that heads towards Brooklyn, NY. Once on the bus, inform the driver you wish to get off at the stop closest to the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. The bus will take you through various neighborhoods, and once you arrive, follow the signs for the garden entry. Make sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time to ensure proper timing for your visit.
