Getting There

  • Walking

    From the Asbury Park Boardwalk, head south on Ocean Avenue. Continue walking until you reach 5th Avenue. Turn left on 5th Avenue and walk towards the train station. Once you reach the train station, you can take a NJ Transit train towards New York Penn Station. After arriving at Penn Station, transfer to the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) and take a train towards Jamaica Station. At Jamaica Station, transfer to the LIRR train heading towards Brooklyn. Get off at the Prospect Park station. You will find Prospect Park just a short walk away.

  • Biking

    If you have a bike, start from the Asbury Park Boardwalk and head south on Ocean Avenue. Cycle along the beachfront until you reach 5th Avenue. Turn left onto 5th Avenue and continue towards the train station. From there, you can take a NJ Transit train to New York Penn Station. From Penn Station, transfer to the Long Island Rail Road and take a train to Jamaica Station. At Jamaica, switch to the train that heads to Brooklyn. Once you arrive at Prospect Park station, you can bike the rest of the way to the park.

  • Public Transit

    Start at the Asbury Park Transportation Center. Take the NJ Transit train towards New York Penn Station. Once you arrive at Penn Station, transfer to the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) towards Jamaica Station. At Jamaica Station, switch to a train heading towards Brooklyn. Get off at the Prospect Park station. From there, it’s a short walk to the park entrance.
