Public Transit
From Asbury Park, walk to the Asbury Park train station located at 1 Convention Hall, Asbury Park, NJ. Once there, board a NJ Transit train heading towards New York Penn Station. After approximately 1 hour, you will arrive at New York Penn Station. From Penn Station, transfer to the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) towards Brooklyn. Take the LIRR to Atlantic Terminal. Upon arrival at Atlantic Terminal, exit the station and walk to the nearest subway station, which is the Atlantic Ave-Barclays Center station. Board the Q train towards Coney Island-Stillwell Ave. Ride the Q train for 8 stops until you reach the 25th St station in Brooklyn. Exit the station and walk approximately 10 minutes to reach The Green-Wood Cemetery located at 500 25th St. The cemetery will be on your right.

Rent a bike from one of the bike rental services in Asbury Park. Start your ride by heading towards the Ocean Avenue and go south along the coastline. Continue on Ocean Ave until you reach the intersection with Route 36. Turn left onto Route 36 (also known as the Sea Bright Bridge) and follow it over the bridge. After crossing the bridge, keep straight until you reach the intersection with the intersection of Route 36 and the Garden State Parkway. From there, you can follow the signs for Brooklyn, which will take you through local roads. Make sure to use a GPS to navigate through the local streets of Brooklyn until you arrive at 500 25th St, where The Green-Wood Cemetery is located.

If you are staying nearby or prefer to walk, start from the boardwalk at Asbury Park. Head west towards Cookman Ave and proceed to Main St. Walk north on Main St until you reach the intersection with Route 71. Cross the street and continue north on Route 71 until you reach the intersection with Route 36. From there, you will need to follow Route 36 towards Brooklyn. This is a long walk, so be sure to wear comfortable shoes and be prepared for a significant journey. After walking for several miles, you will enter Brooklyn and can navigate to 500 25th St where The Green-Wood Cemetery is located.
