Getting There

  • Ferry

    To get to Roosevelt Island from Jersey City, take the PATH train from your nearest station (such as Exchange Place or Newport) towards World Trade Center. Once you arrive at the World Trade Center station, follow the signs to the Oculus and exit onto Church Street. Walk to the Battery Park City Ferry Terminal, which is about a 15-minute walk. At the terminal, board the East River Ferry heading towards Long Island City. After a short ride, disembark at the Roosevelt Island stop.

    From Jersey City, take the PATH train towards 33rd Street. Get off at the 33rd Street station and transfer to the subway. Take the E train towards World Trade Center. Get off at the 42nd Street - Port Authority Bus Terminal. From there, transfer to the 7 train towards Flushing and get off at 34th Street - Hudson Yards. Walk to the R train station and take it towards Astoria-Ditmars Blvd. Get off at the 59th Street - Lexington Avenue station. From there, walk to the Roosevelt Island Tram station and take the tram to Roosevelt Island.

    From Jersey City, take the NJ Transit bus to Port Authority Bus Terminal in Manhattan. Once you arrive, walk to the subway station and take the E train towards World Trade Center. Get off at the 42nd Street - Port Authority Bus Terminal. From there, transfer to the 7 train towards Flushing and get off at 34th Street - Hudson Yards. Then, take the R train towards Astoria-Ditmars Blvd and get off at the 59th Street - Lexington Avenue station. Finally, walk to the Roosevelt Island Tram station and take the tram to Roosevelt Island.
