Car
From High Point State Park, head southwest on Route 23 South. Continue on Route 23 for approximately 12 miles until you reach the junction with Route 80 East. Merge onto Route 80 East and continue for about 4 miles. Take exit 57 for Route 46 East toward Parsippany. Stay on Route 46 East for approximately 7 miles. Take the exit toward Mountain Ave/Woodland Park. Turn right onto Mountain Ave, and the entrance to Garret Mountain Reservation will be on your right at 8 Mountain Ave, Woodland Park, NJ 07424.
Public Transportation
From High Point State Park, you will need to drive or take a taxi to the nearest NJ Transit train station, which is approximately 20 minutes away at the Sussex County Airport. From the airport, take the NJ Transit train on the Montclair-Boonton Line toward Montclair State University. Get off at the Little Falls station, then transfer to bus #28 or #29 toward Paterson. Get off at the stop for Mountain Ave. Walk approximately 0.5 miles to reach Garret Mountain Reservation located at 8 Mountain Ave, Woodland Park, NJ 07424.
