Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving to the High Point Park Observation Tower, first enter High Point State Park via the main entrance located at 1480 Route 23, Sussex, NJ 07461. After entering the park, follow the signs for the High Point Monument. Continue on the main park road for approximately 2 miles. The Observation Tower will be on your left. Look for the parking area, which is free of charge.

• Public Transportation

  To reach High Point State Park via public transportation, take a NJ Transit train to the nearest station, which is the Andover station. From there, you can use a rideshare service like Uber or Lyft to get to the park entrance at 1480 Route 23, Sussex, NJ 07461. Once inside the park, follow the main park road for about 2 miles to the Observation Tower. Please note that public transportation may require advanced planning, as services can be limited.

• Walking from Park Facilities

  If you are already inside High Point State Park, you can walk to the Observation Tower. From the main visitor area near the entrance, head towards the High Point Monument. The Observation Tower is located about a 30-minute walk from the visitor center. Follow the main park road, keeping an eye out for directional signs leading to the tower. The path may involve some uphill walking, so wear comfortable shoes.
