Getting There

• Car

  From Island Beach State Park, exit the park via Route 35 North. Continue on Route 35 North for approximately 4 miles until you reach the intersection with Route 37 East. Merge onto Route 37 East and continue for about 7 miles. Take the exit for Route 9 North towards Forked River. Continue on Route 9 North for approximately 5 miles. Turn left onto Lacey Road, and after about 2 miles, turn right onto Beach Boulevard. Forked River Beach Bay Front Park will be on your left at 1514 Beach Blvd, Forked River, NJ 08731.

• Public Transportation

  If you are using public transportation, take a NJ Transit bus from the nearest bus stop in Island Beach State Park to the Route 35 North bus line. You may need to transfer at a central hub, such as the Toms River Bus Terminal, to catch a bus heading towards Forked River. From the bus stop closest to Forked River, you will need to walk approximately 1 mile to reach Forked River Beach Bay Front Park at 1514 Beach Blvd. Be sure to check the NJ Transit schedules for the latest routes and times.

• Bicycle

  For those who prefer cycling, exit Island Beach State Park and head north on Route 35. You can take a bike lane along Route 35 until you reach Route 9. Make a left onto Lacey Road and ride for about 2 miles. Finally, turn right onto Beach Boulevard, where Forked River Beach Bay Front Park will be on your left at 1514 Beach Blvd. Please wear a helmet and follow all cycling safety rules.
