    From Jersey City, head to the nearest PATH station, which is either the Journal Square or Pavonia/Newport station. If you're at Journal Square, take the PATH train towards World Trade Center. If you're at Pavonia/Newport, take the train towards 33rd Street. After about 20-25 minutes, disembark at the World Trade Center station. Once you exit the station, follow the signs to the Oculus, then walk towards Church Street and head north until you reach Fulton Street. From there, you can either walk or take the subway on the E line to 42nd Street/Times Square. Finally, transfer to the 7 train towards Flushing and get off at 5th Avenue. The New York Public Library will be a short walk from the station.

    Find the nearest NJ Transit bus stop in Jersey City. Take the bus route 119 or 126 towards New York Port Authority. The journey will take approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic.
