Staten Island Ferry: A Scenic Voyage Through New York Harbor

Getting There

• PATH TRAIN

  If you are near the Jersey City PATH train station, board a train heading towards World Trade Center. Once you arrive at World Trade Center, exit the station and follow signs to the Oculus. From there, head to the Battery Park ferry terminal, which is a short walk away. Look for signs directing you to the Staten Island Ferry. The ferry terminal is located at 4 South Street, where you can catch the ferry to Staten Island.

• BUS

  Find a nearby NJ Transit bus stop. Take the NJ Transit bus route 119 or 126 towards New York City. Get off at the stop for the World Trade Center. From there, walk towards the Oculus and follow the signs to the Battery Park ferry terminal. The Staten Island Ferry terminal is located at 4 South Street, where you can board the ferry.

• FERRY

  If you are near the waterfront, look for the NY Waterway ferry service. Take the ferry from Jersey City to the World Financial Center. After disembarking, follow signs to the Oculus and then head towards the Battery Park ferry terminal. The Staten Island Ferry terminal is located at 4 South Street; that's where you'll board the ferry.

• WALKING

  If you are in downtown Jersey City, you can walk to the ferry terminal at 4 South Street. Head towards the Hudson River waterfront, and walk along the promenade until you reach the PATH train station. From there, follow the directions for PATH train or continue walking towards Battery Park, which is about a 30-minute walk. Keep walking until you see the Staten Island Ferry terminal.
