Walking
From Lambertville, head southeast on Bridge Street towards the Delaware River. Cross the bridge into New Hope, Pennsylvania. Continue walking straight onto Main Street. After a few blocks, keep left to stay on Main Street as it becomes West Bridge Street. Follow this road until you reach the traffic circle. Take the second exit onto New Hope-Lambertville Road, which will lead you towards Route 179. Continue on Route 179 until you reach the intersection with Route 202. Here, you can catch a bus to Philadelphia. After arriving in Philadelphia, use public transportation to get to the Benjamin Franklin Museum at 317 Chestnut St.
Bicycle
From Lambertville, rent a bicycle from a local shop. Head south on Bridge Street, crossing the bridge into New Hope. Follow the designated bike lane along the river until you reach Route 32. Continue south on Route 32 until you reach the intersection with Route 202. At this point, you can access a bike-friendly route towards Philadelphia. Once you reach Philadelphia, park your bike at a nearby bike rack and walk the remaining distance to the Benjamin Franklin Museum at 317 Chestnut St.
Public Transportation
From Lambertville, walk to the nearest bus stop on Route 29. Take the bus towards Trenton and transfer to the NJ Transit train towards Philadelphia. Upon arriving in Philadelphia, walk towards the City Hall area and catch the Market-Frankford Line towards Frankford. Get off at the 15th Street station. From there, it’s a short walk to 317 Chestnut St, where the Benjamin Franklin Museum is located.
