If you're driving to Rockaway Beach from Paterson Great Falls National Historical Park, start by heading southeast on McBride Ave toward NJ-20 S. Merge onto NJ-20 S and continue for about 1.5 miles. Take the ramp onto I-80 E toward New York City. After approximately 10 miles, merge onto I-95 S. Continue on I-95 S for about 12 miles, then take exit 14 for I-295 S toward the George C. Platt Memorial Bridge. Stay on I-295 S for about 8 miles, then merge onto I-76 E. Continue on I-76 E, then take exit 4 for the Walt Whitman Bridge. Cross the bridge and follow signs for I-95 S toward New Jersey Turnpike. Follow I-95 S for about 7 miles, then take exit 15 for the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge. After crossing the bridge, follow signs for the Belt Parkway toward Brooklyn. Continue on the Belt Parkway until you reach the exit for Rockaway Beach. Follow the signs to Rockaway Beach, and you will arrive at your destination.

To reach Rockaway Beach from Paterson Great Falls National Historical Park via public transportation, start by walking to the Paterson Train Station. From there, take a NJ Transit train on the North Jersey Coast Line toward Long Branch. Transfer at Secaucus Junction to the train heading towards Penn Station in New York City. Once you arrive at Penn Station, transfer to the A subway line toward Far Rockaway - Mott Ave. Stay on the A train until you reach the Beach 60th St - NYC Beach stop. After you exit the subway, follow signs toward Rockaway Beach. It’s just a short walk from the station to the beach.
