Public Bus
From Paterson, head to the nearest bus stop on Market Street. Take the NJ Transit bus number 190 towards New York Port Authority. Stay on the bus for about 30-40 minutes depending on traffic. Get off at the stop near 8th Avenue and 42nd Street. Walk towards 7th Avenue and then catch the subway at the 42nd Street - Times Square station. Take the 1, 2, or 3 train towards downtown towards the Chambers Street station. Transfer to the A, C, or E train and ride to the West 4th Street station. Exit and walk east on West 4th Street until you reach Bleecker Street. Turn left and walk until you reach 155 Bleecker Street.
Train
Make your way to the Paterson Train Station. Board a NJ Transit train heading towards New York Penn Station. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at New York Penn Station, follow the signs to the subway. Take the A, C, or E trains from the 34th Street - Penn Station towards downtown and get off at the West 4th Street station. From there, walk east along West 4th Street until you reach Bleecker Street. Turn left on Bleecker Street and continue until you reach 155 Bleecker Street.
Walking
If you're near the city center in Paterson, you can walk to the Paterson Museum located at 2 Market Street. From the museum, walk east on Market Street until you reach Broadway. Turn left onto Broadway and walk north until you reach 1st Street. Turn right and continue walking until you reach the train station. From there, you can choose to take a bus or a train to New York City. Once in NYC, follow the directions for public transit as mentioned above.
