Bus
From Paterson, head to the nearest bus stop at Broadway and Market Street. Take the NJ Transit Bus #190 towards New York Port Authority. Ride for approximately 30 minutes to the stop at 42nd Street and 8th Avenue in Manhattan. From there, transfer to the MTA Subway, take the C train towards Euclid Avenue, and disembark at the Franklin Avenue station. Finally, transfer to the S train towards Prospect Park and get off at the Prospect Park station. From there, it's a short walk to the Brooklyn Museum located at 200 Eastern Pkwy.
Train
Walk to the Paterson Train Station located at 1001 Paterson Plank Rd. Board a NJ Transit train on the North Jersey Coast Line towards Penn Station in New York. After about 30 minutes, disembark at Secaucus Junction and transfer to a train heading towards Hoboken Terminal. From Hoboken, take the PATH train to 33rd Street in Manhattan. From there, take the MTA Subway, taking the C train towards Euclid Avenue and get off at Franklin Avenue. Finally, switch to the S train to Prospect Park, and walk to the Brooklyn Museum at 200 Eastern Pkwy.
Walking and Subway
If you're up for a walk, head to the nearest subway station at 1st Avenue and 5th Street in Paterson. Walk towards the station and board a train on the MTA Subway, taking the A train towards Inwood-207th Street. Transfer at the 125th Street station to the 2 or 3 train towards Flatbush Avenue-Brooklyn College. Get off at the Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center station, then switch to the Q train towards Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue. Disembark at the Prospect Park station and walk to the Brooklyn Museum at 200 Eastern Pkwy.
