    Getting There

    Bus

    From Paterson, head to the Paterson Bus Terminal located at 100 Broadway. Take the NJ Transit Bus No. 164 towards New York Port Authority. The bus will take you directly to the Port Authority Bus Terminal in Manhattan. Once you arrive at Port Authority, exit the terminal and walk towards 8th Avenue. From there, you can either take the subway or a local bus to reach the Lower East Side.

    Train

    Make your way to the Paterson Train Station located at 100 Market Street. Board a NJ Transit train on the Main Line towards Hoboken. At Hoboken Terminal, transfer to the PATH train towards 33rd Street. Get off at the 9th Street station and transfer to the L train at 14th Street Station, heading towards Brooklyn. Get off at the Bedford Avenue stop and walk to the Lower East Side.

    Subway

    Start at the nearest subway station to your location in Paterson, which may require a bus ride to the nearest PATH station in Hoboken. Once at Hoboken, take the PATH train to 33rd Street in Manhattan. From there, transfer to the subway line that connects to the Lower East Side, such as the F line. Get off at the Delancey St. station; from there, it's a short walk to the heart of the Lower East Side.
