From Paterson, head to the nearest NJ Transit bus stop. You can catch the NJ Transit Bus #190 towards New York Port Authority Bus Terminal. This bus will take you directly to New York City. Once you arrive at the Port Authority, exit the bus and walk to 8th Avenue. From there, walk east on 42nd Street until you reach 7th Avenue. Turn left and walk north until you reach East 7th Street. Turn right, and McSorley’s Old Ale House will be on your left at 15 E 7th St.

Make your way to the Paterson Train Station. Board a NJ Transit North Jersey Coast Line train heading towards New York Penn Station. When you arrive at Penn Station, follow the signs to 34th Street and exit the station. From there, walk east on 34th Street until you reach 7th Avenue. Turn left and walk north to East 7th Street. Turn right, and you will find McSorley’s Old Ale House located at 15 E 7th St on your left.

If you are already in the city center of Paterson, you can walk to the NJ Transit Bus Terminal located at 1 Market Street.
