From Paterson, head to the nearest NJ Transit bus stop. Take the NJ Transit Bus #190 towards New York City. Stay on the bus for approximately 30-40 minutes. Get off at the stop at Brooklyn's Eastern Parkway and walk approximately 5 minutes towards Mount Prospect Park, which will be on your left.

Make your way to the Paterson Train Station. Board a NJ Transit train on the Main Line heading towards Hoboken. Transfer at Secaucus Junction for a train on the Pascack Valley Line towards Spring Valley. Get off at the Frank R. Lautenberg Station in Secaucus and transfer to a train heading to New York Penn Station. From Penn Station, take the 2, 3, 4, or 5 subway train to the Eastern Parkway-Brooklyn Museum station. Exit the station and walk about 10 minutes to reach Mount Prospect Park.

If you're near the Paterson Great Falls, start walking south on McBride Avenue. Turn left onto Market Street and continue until you reach the NJ Transit Bus Terminal. From there, take the NJ Transit Bus #190 towards New York City, and get off at the Eastern Parkway stop. Walk approximately 5 minutes to reach Mount Prospect Park.
