Seward Park: A Green Oasis in the Heart of Manhattan

Bus

From your current location in Paterson, head to the nearest NJ Transit bus stop. Look for the # 190 or # 171 bus heading towards New York City. Board the bus and stay on until you reach the Port Authority Bus Terminal in Manhattan. Once you arrive at the terminal, exit and head towards the 42nd Street subway station. Take the subway Line A or C (Blue Line) downtown towards Brooklyn. Disembark at the Canal Street Station. From there, Seward Park is just a short walk; head east on Canal Street until you reach Essex Street, then turn left to find the park.

Train

Make your way to the nearest NJ Transit train station in Paterson. Board a train bound for New York Penn Station. Once you arrive at Penn Station, follow the signs to exit the station. From there, walk to the nearby 34th Street-Herald Square subway station and take the R or W train (Yellow Line) downtown. Get off at the Canal Street Station.
