Public Bus
From Paterson, walk to the nearest NJ Transit bus stop. You can take the NJ Transit Bus #190 towards New York Port Authority. Once on the bus, enjoy the ride which takes approximately 30-40 minutes depending on traffic. Get off at the Port Authority Bus Terminal in New York City. From there, exit the terminal and walk to 8th Avenue. Take a left and walk south for a few blocks until you reach W 34th St. Catch the Subway Line A, C, or E from 34th St. to 14th St., and transfer to the L train towards Canarsie. Get off at the 1st Avenue stop. Walk south on 1st Avenue and turn left on Vandam Street. The SoHo Playhouse will be on your right at 15 Vandam St.
Train
From Paterson, head to the Paterson Train Station and take the NJ Transit train on the Main/Bergen County Line towards Hoboken. Once you reach Hoboken, transfer to the PATH train towards 33rd Street. Get off at 33rd Street and walk east to 6th Avenue to catch the subway Line A, C, or E. Take the subway to 14th St. and then transfer to the L train towards Canarsie. Get off at the 1st Avenue stop. Walk south on 1st Avenue and then take a left onto Vandam Street. The SoHo Playhouse will be at 15 Vandam St.
Walking and Subway
If you prefer to walk, head towards the nearest NJ Transit train station in Paterson and take the train to New York Penn Station. From Penn Station, take the subway Line 1 or 2 to 14th Street. After exiting, walk west towards 6th Avenue and then head south to Vandam Street. Turn left onto Vandam Street, and you will find the SoHo Playhouse at 15 Vandam St. This option may take longer but allows you to enjoy the city sights along the way.
