    Train and Ferry

    From Paterson, walk to the Paterson Train Station and take a NJ Transit train on the Main or Bergen County Line towards Hoboken. Get off at Secaucus Junction. At Secaucus, transfer to a train heading towards New York Penn Station. Once you arrive at Penn Station, follow the signs to the subway and take the 1 train downtown to South Ferry. From South Ferry, walk to the Staten Island Ferry Terminal. Board the ferry, which is free and will take you to Staten Island.
