    To get to The Battery in New York City from Paterson, NJ, start by heading to the Paterson train station, located at 1 Market St, Paterson, NJ 07505. From the station, take a NJ Transit train (North Jersey Coast Line or Raritan Valley Line) towards New York Penn Station. Make sure to check the schedule for train times. Once you arrive at New York Penn Station, exit the station and look for signs directing you to the 34th St subway entrance. Take the subway (Line 1) downtown towards South Ferry. After approximately 10 stops, get off at the South Ferry station. From there, it's a short walk to The Battery, which is located at New York, NY 10004.

Follow Main St until you reach the intersection with Paterson Plank Rd. Continue walking for about 1.5 miles to the nearest bus stop that takes you to New York City. Take the bus into the city and then follow the guidance for public transit or buses to reach The Battery.
