To get to The Battery in New York City from Paterson, NJ, start by heading to the Paterson train station, located at 1 Market St, Paterson, NJ 07505. From the station, take a NJ Transit train (North Jersey Coast Line or Raritan Valley Line) towards New York Penn Station. Make sure to check the schedule for train times. Once you arrive at New York Penn Station, exit the station and look for signs directing you to the 34th St subway entrance. Take the subway (Line 1) downtown towards South Ferry.
