Bus
From your current location in Paterson, head to the nearest bus stop and take the NJ Transit bus #190 towards New York Port Authority. This bus will take you directly to New York City. Once you arrive at the Port Authority Bus Terminal, exit the terminal and walk towards 8th Avenue. From there, you can catch the subway at the 42nd Street subway station.
Train
Make your way to the Paterson Train Station located at 1000 Paterson Plank Road. Take the NJ Transit train on the North Jersey Coast Line or the Main/Bergen County Line heading towards Hoboken or New York Penn Station. Disembark at New York Penn Station and follow the signs to exit the station. Once outside, head towards 8th Avenue and then walk south to reach The High Line.

If you are already in Paterson city center, you can walk to the nearest bus terminal to catch a bus to New York City. Head towards the intersection of Market Street and Main Street. Once there, take the NJ Transit bus #190. After reaching New York City, walk to the nearest subway station and transfer to the subway line that will take you closer to The High Line.
