Bus
From Paterson, head to the nearest bus stop and take NJ Transit bus number 190 towards New York Port Authority. The journey should take about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at Port Authority, exit the bus terminal and walk to 42nd St and 8th Ave. From there, take the subway (A or C line) downtown to Chambers St. Transfer to the 1 line and go one stop to Rector St. Exit the station and walk east towards Battery Park, where you will find The Skyscraper Museum at 39 Battery Pl.
Train
Walk to the Paterson train station and board a NJ Transit train on the Main or Bergen County Line heading towards Hoboken. After about 30 minutes, get off at Hoboken Terminal. From Hoboken, take the PATH train to World Trade Center Station in Manhattan. Once you arrive, walk south towards Battery Park, where you will find The Skyscraper Museum at 39 Battery Pl.
Walking
If you're near the center of Paterson, you can take a walk to the nearest NJ Transit bus stop or train station to start your journey. Alternatively, if you are already close to the Passaic River, follow the river south towards downtown Paterson, which will lead you to local transit options that can take you to New York City. Look for signs directing you to the bus or train stations.
