Head to the Paterson train station and take a NJ Transit train on the North Jersey Coast Line towards New York Penn Station. Once you arrive at Penn Station, transfer to the subway and take the 1 train (the red line) heading towards Van Cortlandt Park-242nd St. Get off at the 86th St Station, then walk west for 3 blocks to reach Zabar's at 2245 Broadway.
