Bus
From downtown Paterson, walk to the nearest bus stop on Market Street. Take the NJ Transit Bus # 73 towards New York Port Authority. Ride the bus for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the stop at 42nd Street and 8th Avenue in Manhattan. Transfer to the L train at 8th Avenue and take it towards Brooklyn. Get off at the Bedford Avenue station in Williamsburg. From there, walk east on Bedford Avenue towards N 7th Street, then turn right onto N 7th Street. Continue walking until you reach the entrance to the Williamsburg Bridge.
Train
Make your way to the Paterson Train Station located on Broadway. Board a NJ Transit train on the North Jersey Coast Line towards New York Penn Station. After about 30 minutes, get off at New York Penn Station. From there, follow the signs to the 1 train, and take it towards Brooklyn. Get off at the Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall station. Exit the station and walk towards the east to reach the entrance of the Williamsburg Bridge.
Walking
If you are close to the Passaic River, start walking along the riverfront towards the north. Continue until you reach the intersection of Marshall Street and Main Street. Turn left onto Main Street, then right onto Broadway. Walk straight until you reach the Paterson Train Station. From there, you can take the train or bus as detailed in the other options.
