Car
From Raritan Valley, head east on Route 18 towards the Garden State Parkway. Merge onto the Garden State Parkway North. Continue on the Parkway for approximately 20 miles. Follow Mercer Road until you reach the Sandy Hook Lighthouse at 84 Mercer Rd, Highlands, NJ 07732. There is no entry fee for the lighthouse itself, but be aware of possible parking fees in the area.
Public Transportation
From Raritan Valley, take NJ Transit Train from your nearest station to the Middletown station. Once at Middletown, transfer to the NJ Transit bus #817 towards Highlands. The bus will take you to the Highlands area, where you can disembark at a stop near Mercer Road. From there, it's a short walk (approximately 10-15 minutes) to reach the Sandy Hook Lighthouse at 84 Mercer Rd, Highlands, NJ 07732.
