Getting There

Train
From Red Bank, head to the Red Bank train station located at 176 Riverside Ave. Board a northbound NJ Transit train on the North Jersey Coast Line. The train should take you to Penn Station in New York City. Once you arrive at Penn Station, follow the signs to the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) concourse. From there, take the subway. Look for signs for the 1 subway line (red line) at 34th Street Station. Board the train heading uptown towards 42nd Street - Times Square.

Once you arrive at 42nd Street - Times Square, transfer to the 7 line (purple line) towards Flushing/Main Street. Get off at the next stop, 5th Avenue - Bryant Park. From there, exit the station and walk east towards 6th Avenue. You will want to continue walking until you reach W 46th St. Turn left on W 46th St and walk straight until you reach Pier 86, where the Intrepid Museum is located.

After getting off the train at Penn Station, you can also choose to take a bus. Look for the MTA buses outside of Penn Station. You can take the M42 bus heading east towards 1st Ave. Get off at the stop at 12th Ave and W 46th St. From there, walk a short distance down W 46th St towards Pier 86, and you will see the Intrepid Museum on your right.
