From Red Bank, head to the Red Bank train station located at 176 Riverside Ave, Red Bank, NJ 07701. Purchase a ticket to New York Penn Station. Board a North Jersey Coast Line train towards New York City. The journey will take approximately 40 minutes. Once you arrive at New York Penn Station, follow the signs to the exit.

After exiting Penn Station, walk one block to 34th Street and head to the 34th Street-Herald Square Subway Station. Take the B, D, F, or M train towards uptown. Get off at the 42nd Street-Bryant Park station. From there, walk east along 42nd Street until you reach 5th Avenue. Turn right on 5th Avenue and St. Patrick's Cathedral will be on your left at 5th Ave, New York, NY 10022.

From the Red Bank train station, you can take the NJ Transit bus number 833 towards New York Port Authority. The bus will take you directly to New York City. Once you arrive at the Port Authority Bus Terminal, walk east along 42nd Street until you reach 5th Avenue.
