Bus
From Trenton, walk to the Trenton Transit Center located at 72 S Clinton Ave. Once there, take the NJ Transit Bus #601 towards Philadelphia. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Make sure to inform the bus driver you are heading to Philadelphia. Get off at the stop closest to the Schuylkill River Trail, which is generally at the intersection of South Street and the trail entrance. From there, follow the signs to the Schuylkill River Trail.
Train
Head to the Trenton Transit Center at 72 S Clinton Ave. Purchase a ticket for a NJ Transit train to Philadelphia's 30th Street Station. The train ride will take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at 30th Street Station, exit the station and walk towards the Schuylkill River. You can access the Schuylkill River Trail by walking to the south side of the river and following the trail signs.
Bicycle
If you're feeling adventurous, you can rent a bike in Trenton. Start at the Trenton City Hall and head south on N Broad St. for approximately 1.5 miles until you reach the Delaware River. Follow the path along the river towards the south until you find the signs directing you to the Schuylkill River Trail in Philadelphia. The ride is around 8 miles long and should take about 45 minutes, depending on your pace.
Walking
If you wish to walk, start from Trenton's downtown area and head towards the Trenton Makes Bridge. Cross the bridge into Pennsylvania, and once you are across, you will be on the banks of the Delaware River. Continue walking along the river until you reach the Schuylkill River Trail. This route is approximately 10 miles and may take about 3-4 hours, so plan accordingly.
