If you are starting from Trenton's downtown area, head east on State Street towards South Broad Street. Turn left onto South Broad Street and continue walking until you reach the intersection with East State Street. From there, continue straight until you reach the New Jersey State Museum. After passing the museum, turn right onto West Hanover Street, which will lead you into Cadwalader Park. Walk through the park, following the path that leads northwards. Keep an eye out for signs directing you to Ellarslie Mansion. The mansion is located at 299 Parkside Ave., which you will reach after exiting the park. It should take you about 25-30 minutes to walk there.

From the Trenton Train Station, take NJ Transit bus route 601 towards the Trenton-Mercer Airport. Get off at the stop at Parkside Avenue and Cadwalader Park. From there, walk north along Parkside Avenue for about 10 minutes.
