Walking
If you are in the heart of Downtown Albuquerque, you can easily reach the Explora Science Center and Children's Museum by walking. Start at the Albuquerque Convention Center located at 401 2nd St SW. From there, head west on 2nd St towards Mountain Rd. Continue straight for about 0.7 miles, and you will reach the intersection of 2nd St and Mountain Rd. Turn left onto Mountain Rd and continue walking for about 0.2 miles. The Explora Science Center will be on your right at 1701 Mountain Rd NW.

Public Transit - Bus
You can take the ABQ Ride bus service to reach Explora. From Downtown, locate the nearest bus stop at 1st St and Central Ave. Board the Route 66 bus heading west. Ride for about 10 minutes and get off at the stop at 1st St and Mountain Rd. From that stop, walk north on 1st St for about 0.3 miles until you reach Mountain Rd, then turn left and walk for another 0.2 miles. The Explora Science Center will be on your left. Note that bus fare is $1 per ride, and you may need exact change or a prepaid card.
