Getting There
Bus
From the Albuquerque city center, catch the Albuquerque Rapid Transit (ART) bus at the nearest ART station. Take the bus heading towards the 'Central & Unser' stop and ride until you reach the 'Central & Coors' stop. Transfer to the 50 bus line towards 'Bernalillo'. After approximately 30 minutes, get off at the 'Bernalillo - Coronado Historic Site' stop. From there, it's a short 10-minute walk to Coronado Historic Site located at 485 Kuaua Rd, Bernalillo, NM 87004. Follow the signs leading to the site.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the local bike rental shops in Albuquerque. Start from the city center and head north on the bike trails along the Rio Grande. Follow the trail to the north until you reach the area near Bernalillo. Once you’re close, navigate toward Kuaua Rd where the Coronado Historic Site is located. It's about a 10-mile ride and should take approximately 45 minutes to an hour depending on your cycling speed.
Walking
For those who enjoy walking, you can start at the Albuquerque Plaza and head north towards the Rio Grande. Follow the river walkway for a scenic route. Continue walking north until you approach the area of Bernalillo. This is a longer journey, approximately 12 miles, so it may take several hours. Ensure you have water and wear comfortable shoes as you will be walking along the river trails and through some residential areas before reaching 485 Kuaua Rd.
