From University Heights, head to the nearest bus stop on Central Ave NE. Take the ABQ RIDE bus number 66 towards 'Candelaria' and ride for about 15-20 minutes. Get off at the stop at Candelaria Rd NE and Unser Blvd NW. From there, transfer to bus number 155 towards 'Paradise Hills'. Ride for another 10-15 minutes and get off at the stop at Jill Patricia St NW. Piedras Marcadas Canyon is a short 5-minute walk from the bus stop, located on the left side along Jill Patricia St NW.

If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from a local bike rental shop in University Heights. Head north on Stanford Dr NE, then turn left onto Candelaria Rd NE. Continue on Candelaria Rd for about 1 mile until you reach the intersection with Unser Blvd NW. Turn right onto Unser Blvd and continue until you reach the Jill Patricia St NW intersection. Turn left onto Jill Patricia St and the canyon will be on your right. This route is approximately 3 miles and should take around 15-20 minutes depending on your cycling speed.
