    If you are traveling by car, start on I-25 N from your location in Rio Grande Valley. Continue on I-25 N for approximately 10 miles until you reach exit 226 for Alameda Blvd. Merge onto Alameda Blvd NW and continue for about 3 miles. The entrance to the Alameda / Rio Grande Open Space will be on your left, just past the intersection with Rio Grande Blvd NW. There is no parking fee, and plenty of parking space is available.

  • Public Transportation

    For those using public transportation, check for the ABQ Ride bus system. Take Bus 66 from the nearest bus stop to your location in Rio Grande Valley, heading towards the Albuquerque area. After approximately 30 minutes, transfer to Bus 155 at the Alameda Transit Center. Take Bus 155 for about 15 minutes, and get off at the stop near the intersection of Alameda Blvd NW and Rio Grande Blvd NW. From there, it’s a short walk to the entrance of the Alameda / Rio Grande Open Space. Be sure to check the bus schedule for exact times and fares, which are generally around $1.00 per ride.
