Getting There

Walking
Start at the Bernalillo Town Plaza. Head east on NM-550 towards the intersection with US-85. Continue straight on NM-550 for about 5 miles. You will cross the Rio Grande River and enter Albuquerque. Keep an eye out for the signs directing you to Mountain Road NW. Once in Albuquerque, turn left onto Mountain Road NW. The New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science will be on your left at 1801 Mountain Rd NW.

Public Transit (Bus)
From Bernalillo, walk to the nearest bus stop on NM-550. Take the NM Rail Runner Express towards Albuquerque. Get off at the Albuquerque Downtown Station. From there, transfer to the ABQ RIDE bus number 11 heading west. Get off at the stop for Mountain Rd NW. Walk a short distance to 1801 Mountain Rd NW, where the museum is located.
