Board the bus heading southbound towards San Diego. After approximately 1 hour, disembark at the 'Old Town Transit Center' stop. From there, transfer to the MTS Bus Line 35, which will take you directly to Ocean Beach. After about 30 minutes, get off at the 'Newport Ave & Abbott St' stop. You will find yourself right in the heart of Ocean Beach.

If you happen to be in downtown Carlsbad, you can take a leisurely walk to reach the train station. Head to the Carlsbad Village Coaster Station and board the Coaster train heading to San Diego. The train ride will take about 40 minutes. Once you arrive at the Santa Fe Depot in downtown San Diego, exit the station and take a short walk towards the trolley station. Board the MTS Trolley Orange Line towards 'Courthouse' and get off at the 'Pacific Beach' stop. From there, it's a pleasant 15-minute walk west to Ocean Beach.
