If you are starting from downtown Carlsbad, you can walk to Rio Pecos Park located at 203 Plaza St. Begin at the intersection of Main St and Texas St. Head south on Main St for about 0.3 miles until you reach the intersection with Plaza St. Turn left onto Plaza St and continue walking for approximately 0.2 miles. You will see the entrance to Rio Pecos Park on your right. The park is open daily from 7:00 AM to 8:30 PM.

For those who prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from a local rental shop in Carlsbad. Starting from the Carlsbad Museum and Art Center on Canyon St, head east towards the Pecos River. Follow the river trail south for about 1 mile until you reach Plaza St. Turn left onto Plaza St, and you will find Rio Pecos Park about 0.3 miles ahead on your left. Enjoy the scenic ride along the river!
