Public Bus
From the Carlsbad Public Library, walk to the nearest bus stop on National Parks Highway. Catch the NM 31 bus heading towards the Carlsbad Caverns. Ride for about 30 minutes until you reach the stop at US 285 & W. Fox St. Transfer to the NM 22 bus towards Temecula. Continue on this bus for approximately 2 hours and get off at the De Portola Rd stop. From there, it's a short 10-minute walk to Somerset Winery.
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Carlsbad. Start from the Carlsbad Museum and Art Center and head west on W. Fox St. Turn onto US 285 and follow it south for about 10 miles. After reaching the area near Temecula, follow the signs directing you to De Portola Rd. The winery will be located on your right after approximately 2 miles.
Walking
If you're close by, you can walk from the center of Carlsbad. Start at the intersection of W. Fox St and National Parks Highway. Walk south along the highway for about 3 miles, then turn left onto De Portola Rd. Continue straight for about 1 mile, and you will find Somerset Winery on your left.
Ride-sharing Service
Use a ride-sharing app like Uber or Lyft. Enter the address '37338 De Portola Rd, Temecula, CA 92592' as your destination. If you are at a central location such as the Carlsbad Post Office, it should take approximately 30 minutes to arrive at Somerset Winery. Ensure that you confirm the pickup location with your driver.
