Walking
From downtown Carlsbad, head south on S Canal St towards W Texas St. Continue onto S 1st St, then turn right onto W Texas St. Follow this road until you reach the intersection with S 5th St. Turn left onto S 5th St and continue walking until you reach the Carlsbad Museum & Art Center. From there, take the main road (US-62/180 E) heading southeast for about 30 minutes until you reach the intersection of US-62/180 E and NM-285 S. Continue on NM-285 S to the junction with I-10 W. At this point, you will need to take a bus to reach La Jolla.
Public Transportation
From Carlsbad, head to the nearest bus stop and take the bus to Albuquerque. Once in Albuquerque, transfer to a bus that goes to San Diego. Upon arrival in San Diego, take the 30 bus towards La Jolla. Get off at the stop closest to 9500 Gilman Dr, La Jolla, CA 92093. From there, it's about a 10-minute walk to reach the Stuart Collection.
