If you're starting from the center of Carlsbad, head south on S Canyon St toward W Fox St. Continue on S Canyon St for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with W Main St. Turn left onto W Main St and walk for another 0.5 miles. You will pass several local shops and eateries. After that, turn right onto S 13th St and walk for approximately 0.3 miles. You will see a large sign for the Carlsbad Caverns National Park entrance. Continue straight for about 5 miles, where you will arrive at the Bat Flight Amphitheater, located at 727 NM-7. The Amphitheater is clearly marked and is a popular destination for tourists.

Rent a bicycle at one of the local rental shops in Carlsbad. From the city center, head south on S Canyon St, then left onto W Main St. Continue cycling for about 0.5 miles. After that, turn right onto S 13th St for about 0.3 miles. You will reach the entrance of Carlsbad Caverns National Park after cycling straight for another 5 miles.
