    From any location in Carson National Forest, head towards Jemez Springs. Use NM-4 as your main route. If you're coming from the north (e.g., from Los Alamos), take NM-501 south to NM-4, then head south on NM-4. If you're coming from the south (e.g., from Santa Fe), take US-84 north to NM-4. Continue on NM-4 for about 15 miles. The entrance to Valles Caldera National Preserve will be on the left at 39201 NM-4, Jemez Springs, NM 87025. Look for the Valles Caldera National Preserve sign.

  • Public Transportation

    Public transportation options are limited in this area, but you can take a bus from Albuquerque to Jemez Springs. The New Mexico Park and Ride service offers routes that can get you close.
