To get to Bluewater Lake State Park from Chaco Culture National Historical Park, start by heading east on the main park road. Continue for about 21 miles until you reach US-550. Turn left (north) onto US-550 and continue driving for approximately 57 miles. You will pass through the town of Cuba, NM. Keep an eye out for signs indicating Bluewater Lake State Park. After about 57 miles, turn right onto NM-32 and follow the signs to Bluewater Lake State Park. The park entrance will be on your left after about 10 miles. The total driving distance is approximately 88 miles and may take around 2 hours depending on road conditions.
