Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in downtown Farmington, start at the Farmington Public Library located at 2101 Farmington Ave. Head south on Farmington Ave toward E Main St. Turn left onto E Main St and continue for about 0.5 miles. Look for the intersection with NM-516 (Broadway Ave). At this junction, take the right turn onto NM-516 and continue walking for about 1 mile. You will see signs indicating the direction to Kokopelli's Cave. Continue straight on NM-516 until you reach the entrance to Kokopelli's Cave at 87 Rd 1980. The cave is located a short distance from the main road.

• Bicycle

  For those cycling, begin your route at the Farmington Museum at 3041 E Main St. From the museum, head east on E Main St until you reach the intersection with NM-516. Take a right onto NM-516 and follow the road for approximately 1.5 miles. Keep an eye out for signs pointing to Kokopelli's Cave. As you approach, you will see the entrance at 87 Rd 1980 on your left. Ensure you have a bike lock to secure your bicycle while you explore the cave.

• Public Transport

  While there are no direct public transport routes to Kokopelli's Cave, you can take the local bus service from the Farmington Public Library. Board the 'Blue Line' bus toward the Westside Transit Center. Disembark at the stop near the intersection of NM-516 and W Main St, which is a short walk from Kokopelli's Cave. From there, walk along NM-516 heading east for about 1 mile, then look for the entrance at 87 Rd 1980. It is advisable to check the bus schedule in advance to ensure timely arrival.
