From Gila National Forest, head east on NM-180 E. Continue on NM-180 E for about 75 miles until you reach the junction with US-82 E near the town of Ruidoso. Take the exit for US-82 E and follow it for approximately 30 miles. You will enter Lincoln National Forest on your left. The main office is located at 3463 Las Palomas Rd, Alamogordo, NM 88310. Ensure to check the road conditions and fuel up in Ruidoso, as services may be limited in the forest.
