Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in downtown Las Cruces and wish to visit the NMSU Chile Pepper Institute, start by heading south on Main Street. After about 0.5 miles, turn left onto University Avenue. Continue walking straight for approximately 0.7 miles until you reach the intersection with College Drive. Turn right onto College Drive and follow it for about 0.3 miles. The Chile Pepper Institute is located within the New Mexico State University campus in Gerald Thomas Hall, Room 265, which will be on your left at 940 College Dr. Look for the university signage to guide you.

  To reach the NMSU Chile Pepper Institute using public transit, find the nearest bus stop in downtown Las Cruces. Take the RoadRUNNER Transit bus route that heads toward New Mexico State University. Check the schedule for the exact bus times. The bus will drop you off at the university. Once you arrive, walk towards the main campus entrance and head to Gerald Thomas Hall.
