If you are starting from the Los Alamos Visitor Center located at 1475 Central Ave, head east on Central Ave. Continue straight for about 0.3 miles until you reach the intersection with Diamond Drive. Turn left onto Diamond Drive and walk for another 0.5 miles. You'll see the signs for the Los Alamos Project Main Gate on your right.
Public Transit
To reach the Los Alamos Project Main Gate via public transport, take the Atomic City Transit bus from the nearest stop to your location. Make sure to check the bus schedule; the routes typically run every hour. Get off at the 'Los Alamos National Laboratory' stop, which is approximately 0.2 miles from the Main Gate. From there, walk down the road, and you will find the Main Gate easily marked.
Biking
If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike from a local shop. Start at the Los Alamos Community Center. Head east on 20th Street, then take a right onto Central Ave. Continue for about 0.3 miles and then turn left onto Diamond Drive.
