    From anywhere in Los Alamos, locate the nearest bus stop that services the local transit system. Take the Blue Bus Line (Los Alamos County Transit) towards Santa Fe. After approximately 30-40 minutes, get off at the 'Santa Fe Depot' stop. From there, transfer to the NM Rail Runner Express train towards Belen. Get off at the 'Lamy' station. From Lamy, you can take a taxi or rideshare service to reach the Santa Fe National Forest entrance.

    Start at the center of Los Alamos and head south on Canyon Road, which turns into NM-502. Follow NM-502 for about 5 miles until you reach the intersection with NM-285. Continue on NM-285 for another 2 miles to reach the entrance to Santa Fe National Forest. Be sure to wear a helmet and follow all traffic rules.
