Getting There

Car
From Santa Fe, take US-285 S towards Clines Corners. Continue on US-285 S for about 90 miles until you reach I-40 E. Merge onto I-40 E and drive for approximately 20 miles. Take exit 259 for NM-120 S towards Carrizozo. Follow NM-120 S for about 23 miles until you reach the intersection with US-380 E. Turn right onto US-380 E and continue for about 12 miles. Then, turn left onto NM-1 N and follow it for 15 miles to reach the Trinity Site. Note that the site is only open to the public on the first Saturday of April and October.

Public transportation options are limited directly to the Trinity Site. However, you can take a bus from Santa Fe to Alamogordo via the Greyhound service. Once in Alamogordo, you will need to rent a car to reach the Trinity Site, which is approximately a 1-hour drive (about 55 miles) away. Rental agencies are available in Alamogordo. Ensure you check the bus schedule in advance as service frequency may vary.
