To reach Valles Caldera National Preserve by car from Rio Grande Valley, start by getting onto NM-68 N from your location. Continue on NM-68 N for approximately 30 miles until you reach the junction with US-84 N. Merge onto US-84 N and drive for about 8 miles until you reach the intersection with NM-4. Turn left onto NM-4 and continue for approximately 25 miles. You will see the entrance to Valles Caldera National Preserve on your right at 39201 NM-4, Jemez Springs, NM 87025. Note that there may be a parking fee of $10 per vehicle.

To reach Valles Caldera National Preserve using public transportation, you will need to take a bus from the nearest major city, Santa Fe. Board the NM Rail Runner from Santa Fe to Bernalillo Station.
